How to manage your email storage quota Stampa

  • 0

Create Hosting provides 1GB storage space for each email account. If you reach the limit or receive a system generated warning that you are near your limit you can follow one or more of the steps below to address the problem:

1. Purchase an additional 1GB of storage for $108+gst per year. This is a preferable solution as it's the least time consuming and ensures you don't accidentally delete any important emails or attachments. Contact us and we can set this up for you.

2. Delete emails and attachments that are no longer needed - this includes deleting sent items and emptying your trash folder. All email clients (programs) are different, so you will need to research the steps relevant to your specific system. Alternatively you can login to webmail (Roundcube) which provides an easy way to sort by largest attachment and bulk delete. See http://www.createhosting.co.nz/support/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=81for additional information on how to permanantly delete emails using Roundcube.

3. Change your account from IMAP to POP (if you don't require the same mailbox on multiple devices). Contact us if you aren't sure if you have an IMAP or POP account set up or if it's set up correctly to remove files from the server. We can advise a quick settings change or we may recommend that you get IT support to help you configure this.
